East London Girl

We were very happy to be visited by the wonderful East London Girl recently and are delighted that she enjoyed Eccleston Yards, our cocktails, Josper grilled Ginger Pig Ltd steaks and other dishes finishing her review: “The Jones Family Kitchen restaurant in Belgravia lived up to my expectations and more. The venue is stunning, the food is spot on, the cocktails are fantastic and the staff are great. Seriously, what more could you want?!”

Steak Society The Perfect Steak

We’re very honoured to have been given five stars by the steak connoisseurs at Steak Society who visited us incognito recently.

Their review of our Prime Rib (cooked medium-rare) and 55 day aged Rump Steak (cooked rare) entitled “The Perfect Steak” is below and concludes: “I could say that the steak at Jones Family kitchen is magic, but that would betray the careful selection of quality rare breed beef that is cooked to perfection. With a lower price point and an arguably superior product to London’s steakhouse chains, I highly recommend checking out the Jones Family Kitchen.”

Thank you very much Steak Society We hope you have a fabulous weekend and that we’re able to welcome you again soon 🙂

Sunday Times Style Magazine Wine Cocktails

Very excited and honoured to see our bar team’s delicious La Vie En Rose cocktail in The Sunday Times Style Barometer.

“UP Wine cocktails
The thing, right now: see the Jones Family Kitchen, where they serve rosé plus vodka plus lemon juice and soda. Watch out for that hangover.”

Frida Kahlo Street Art by Zabou

One more sleep before the Frida Kahlo exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum opens. We can’t wait! Still loving the amazing Frida by Zabou here in Eccleston Yards

We were thrilled to be visited recently by Christine Hayes and are delighted that she included Ollie’s yummy Croquettes with Oxtail Mayo in the BBC Good Food’s excellent ‘What We’re Eating’ weekly food diary 🙂

“With their oozy filling and crunchy breaded coating, it’s no surprise that Spanish-style croquettes are common on restaurant menus, with variations on the filling ranging from classic Spanish ham & cheese to spinach and even beef shin. But despite the delicious golden appearance of the cheese croquettes at new restaurant The Jones Family Kitchen in Belgravia, London, it was the dipping sauce they were served with that piqued our interest – oxtail mayo. ‘Traditional Spanish croquettes often have ham inside, but I wanted to make a meaty dip instead and keep the croquettes simple,’ says executive chef Oliver Pollard. ‘We already make delicious slow-cooked oxtail to top our signature chuck burger, and I realised the remaining sauce would make a banging base to a luscious mayonnaise. It pairs perfectly with the cheese croquettes, as the deep umami flavour of the slow-braised oxtail adds extra richness.’”

We were thrilled to welcome the lovely Yellow Shoes Orange Umbrella with UntappedLondon during our soft launch and are thrilled that they enjoyed their visit 🙂

We’re delighted that we may have converted her to the sometimes unrated noble cauliflower :-): “Onto the food: from the menu, we ploughed through a parade of dishes. From the Starters and Nibbles section, first up were the Seared Scallops, Cauliflower, Wild Garlic Gremolata. The scallops were buttery and light, seared to perfection. The creamy cauliflower mousse was just divine. Cauliflower is one of my least favourite vegetables so it’s hard to believe something so delicious can be made out of it.”
